Introduction
Euler Finance makes it possible for users to lend and borrow cryptocurrencies. What makes Euler Finance different from other DeFi lending protocols such as Aave or Compound is its use of risk-based asset tiers designed to protect the protocol from risks typically associated with decentralized permissionless lending, especially with respect to illiquid or volatile assets.
In short, Euler Finance is a decentralized, permissionless lending protocol custom-built to improve capital efficiency and reduce the risks associated with lending and borrowing volatile, long-tail crypto assets.
Logo Design
Euler finance logo is designed using a grid system to keep each and every element in the logo to harmonize and bring out a form which is pleasing to see and memorable. Using the bars in the logo, we have kept it’s height as a global variable throughout the design process. Each part of the logo from height, length, gaps, rotation and text height is defined by that variable. In the process “a” is used as that variable.
Colors
The chosen color embodies a vintage aesthetic while incorporating a modern touch to reflect WEB3.0 and DAPP. Each element symbolizes the current state of market trends, offering a unique blend of tradition and innovation.
Typography
Volkhov
Volkhov is an elegant and sophisticated font that exudes a timeless charm. With its classical yet versatile design, it offers a sense of refinement and professionalism. The combination of its strong serifs and subtle curves lends a sense of balance and legibility to the text. Overall, Volkhov can be a great choice for projects that require a touch of traditional elegance while maintaining readability and visual appeal.
Open Sans
Open Sans is a widely popular and versatile font choice known for its clean and contemporary appearance. It offers excellent legibility and readability across various mediums, making it suitable for both print and digital applications. Open Sans has a neutral and friendly character, with balanced proportions and a wide range of font weights and styles available. This versatility allows for flexibility in design and ensures consistent visual appeal across different devices and platforms. Overall, Open Sans is a reliable and widely appreciated font option, making it a solid choice for a variety of projects.
A new twist
Our team decided to design something different in the market for the Euler brand language and designed a mascot for social media marketing. The mascot is designed to be modern yet give a vintage vibe keeping the essence of Leonhard Euler alive. The idea of using a mascot is to create and aura of easy to use and effective application of Euler.
The mascot was designed with a variety of body language and facial expressions to support marketing tactics and attract new users.
Initial concept
We used two photos for the mascot face design. For his facial features, we used a young Euler as a source. Leonhard Euler was famous for this hairstyle and was often seeked out by press because of this. We used his famous hairstyle of curles hair as a source.

The social icon represents consistent yields on a variety of assets, but also doubles as a rotated 'E'. It doubles as a symbol for the native governance token of the Euler ecosystem, EUL.
